A governance focused on product innovation and controlled growth
As one of the few European communications SaaS to have its own telecoms infrastructure, Ringover is committed to a growth model based on efficiency and profitability. This year Ringover has seen solid growth of 40%–4 times the average growth rate for the SaaS sector in its native France*.
Despite uncertainties that prompted many international players to tighten their belts, Ringover has maintained growth and continues to add to its teams, which now number more than 330 employees. Since its launch in 2018, Ringover has established itself as a key player in the field of conversation intelligence thanks to a healthily ambitious approach prioritizing innovation and performance. Thanks to its business-boosting conversation management software, the Ringover team has won over more than 14,000 customers.
After expanding into Spain and the UK in 2020, Ringover raised a first founding round of €10 million in 2021 from Expedition Growth Capital and entered the US market. In 2022, Ringover raised a second round of €20 million from Bpifrance Large Ventures and Orange Ventures, developing a multi-product strategy with conversation AI tool Empower.
"We are delighted to support a French company that perfectly illustrates the spirit of innovation and growth. Ringover's track record is testament to its strategic vision and unwavering commitment to technological excellence,” said Caroline LEBEL, Investment Director, Bpifrance's Large Venture Investment division. “Ludovic's appointment as CEO is excellent news. His deep understanding of technology and strategic experience will ensure dynamic and forward-looking leadership, while preserving the culture of innovation that has made the company such a success.”
“Technological performance is essential in a constantly changing world. We firmly believe that the companies capable of combining innovation and efficiency are the ones that will transform our digital landscape. That's why we're proud to support Ringover and are delighted that Ludovic has taken the CEO role.” adds Clément Combal, Managing Partner, Orange Ventures and Ringover board member.
Clear, ambitious goals for 2025
Under Ludovic Rateau's leadership, Ringover has set ambitious goals: to achieve ‘centaur’ status by 2027, i.e. to generate $100 million in annual recurring revenues, and become profitable by 2025. His appointment reflects the company's desire to strengthen its technical expertise and continue pursuing product innovation, both of which are key drivers of its growth. With a third of Ringover's teams dedicated to product (R&D, innovation, AI research, etc.), innovation remains at the heart of the brand's development strategy.
Ludovic Rateau, an engineer by training who previously worked at the French Ministry of Defence, ideated and created Ringover’s flagship communications software. As CEO, he leverages an in-depth knowledge of the company, its products and its teams. His ability to capitalize on internal strengths positions Ringover to meet future challenges and maintain its course towards sustainable growth.
“We have always managed to maintain our strong growth, year after year. As the founder of Ringover, I've had the pleasure of managing the company for several years, and today I'm honored to be entrusted with the general management of a company that has become a key player in the SaaS and customer relationship sectors, with the aim of achieving ARR of 100 million by 2027, and profitability by 2025,” says Ludovic Rateau, CEO of Ringover.
“I share with the other Ringover co-founders of Ringover this passion for creating software. We are creators who are passionate about tech and pragmatic, guided by the desire to give our customers the means to succeed by fully leveraging the potential of their conversations. This objective remains our daily priority and the cornerstone of our growth.” Ludovic Rateau.
